     #1. Music and Condoms: Who Would Have Thought?

Unlike the efforts of a Ukrainian scientist who developed a musical condom
with a speaker and motion sensor embedded into the condom, a Hong Kong
company that manufactures designer condoms are selling their flavored
condoms with an 18-minute music CD to help couples “get in the mood.”

Though the concept of making the usage of prophylactics more interesting
by adding a little extra into the package is not novel—Trojan™ has been
putting cockrings and other adult novelties together with their
rubbers—Ondo Creation’s prettily packaged and mint, strawberry,
chocolate banana-flavored condoms, with a CD mix of acid jazz,
“chill out” and dance music, are selling like hotcakes.

Victor Tsang, founder of the 18-month Ondo Creation, created Idom
condoms in hopes to encourage the more conservative Asians to have
safe sex, who are apparently turned off by plain packaging and multi-packs.
Tsang has also targeted trendier and hip stores that cater to the modern
lifestyle, like bookstores, music shops and nightclubs in Hong Kong,
London, Paris, Singapore, Tokyo, Stockholm and Amsterdam, instead
of pharmacies and convenient stores.

With names like Exotica, Loveberry and Chocostasy gracing the Idom
packages, Tsang has certainly given old rubbers a makeover—and,
with an expected 30 percent increase in sales by Valentine’s Day—it
seems to be more than a marketing gimmick.

     #2. Sex Can Be More Fun with Spray-On Condoms
Savvy sex educators are preparing to launch cans of spray-on condoms
in Germany in order to appeal the masses in practicing safe sex.

The potential user would place his penis in the can, and when a button
is pushed, his penis is coated with latex rubber, which should be dried
and ready to roll in five seconds flat, said Jan Vinzenz Krause from the
Institute of Condom Consultancy in Germany. The spray-on version
should also be more effective than its ordinary counterparts as it fits
more snugly, added Krause.

Krause, who got the idea from spray-on plasters that doctors use,
said the product should be available in 2008 and will cost about $26
(20 euros), with the latex condom cartridges would cost about 10 euros.

As varied as the men who’s destined to don them, the spray-on condoms
will come in different colors, sizes and thickness.

     #3. Gym in the Netherlands Calls for “Naked Sunday”
Patrick de Man, owner of Fitworld Gym in Heteren, Netherlands,
wants to instate “Naked Sunday” for his nudist gym goers.

The owner got his idea partly from two of his gym members who are
nudist aficionados and in part to install something new, particularly
after he heard about a gym that offered pole-dancing lessons as a
way of exercising.

When de Man did a survey among his members, most preferred to
workout with their clothes on. Some even posed questions about
hygiene, ‘Is it sanitary?’ To that, de Man responded those choosing
to exercise on “Naked Sunday” are required to put towels or disposable
seat covers on the machine seats. Besides, all the equipments are
cleaned every day regardless.

The Dutch Federation of Naturists, which consists of 70,000 members,
wonder if de Man’s idea will work as most nudists prefer to practice
outdoors, like gardening, swimming in a lake or strolling on the beach.
We shall see when “Naked Sunday” arrives at the Dutch gym on March 4, 2007.
